We expect our people to enjoy working hard, so we actively encourage them to enjoy their time outside of work too. Social events have included nights out, a running club, cricket, rowing, rounders, hockey, summer parties and team events.

Agile Working
Agile working has been part of the way we work for a number of years. We place the focus on what colleagues achieve and how they collaborate with others. Work is an activity not a place, it is completed at the most effective locations and at the most effective times.

BWell Day
In addition to annual leave, you can compress your hours to enable you to take a BWell Day off the following month.

Sabbaticals

Better Finances

Pension
Whatever your age, we want to help you plan and save for your future. The Group Personal Pension Plan (GPP) is one of the key benefits offered to you on joining the Firm. It aims to provide financial security for you and your family on your retirement.

We want to help you plan and save for your future, the Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) operates on a defined contribution basis, otherwise known as a money purchase scheme, with our current provider Royal London. This means that contributions are invested in a policy in your name. You can choose to exchange 4% or more of your pensionable salary into the plan which will be matched, up to a maximum of 8%, by the Firm. Contributions are paid via salary sacrifice which provides both tax and National Insurance savings to you.

Tech & Home Purchasing Scheme
This scheme allows you to buy the latest tech & home furnishings and save up to 12% (dependent on whether you’re a basic or higher rate taxpayer) whilst spreading the cost over 12 months. Operating through Currys & IKEA you’ll have access to choose from over 5,000 products including laptops, smartphones, cameras, kitchen appliances and home furnishings up to £2,000 (and with a minimum spend of £100).

The scheme is operated through salary sacrifice and you pay nothing upfront, you simply repay the cost interest free straight from your salary.

Childcare Deposit Loan
We want to support working parents and following the completion of your probation period, you’ll have the option to apply for an interest free childcare deposit loan of up to £750.

The loan can be used for the purchase of up-front childcare fees e.g. nursery deposits, before & after school clubs or holiday clubs with repayments made over 12 months. Full terms and conditions can be found in the Childcare Deposit Loan policy.

Perks at Work
You’ll also have access to Perks at Work which is a shopping platform that allows you to save money at retailers online and in-store. Whether you are buying food, updating your wardrobe or planning a trip, there are exclusive savings or WOWPoints available on almost all brands.

WOWPoints are an online currency that you can earn when doing your shopping via Perks at Work. Every WOWPoint you earn is worth 1p, so 100 WOWPoints = £1.

Will Writing & LPA Service
If you’re looking to plan for the future, Red Apple Law can assist you in writing a Will and setting up a Lasting Power of Attorney, which will enable someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf when you may be unable to.

They can also assist with Living Wills, which can be used to inform medical professionals of your wishes regarding treatment if you are in a position that you can’t express them yourself.

In addition, with all these services, you can have access to free storage and registration of all documents, as well as support with other related services. The services are delivered via an online, telephone, or video approach. You’ll benefit from our corporate rate and will pay back the cost back via payroll deductions over 12 months.

Cycle to Work Scheme
The Cycle to Work scheme allows you to purchase a bike (including eBikes) and accessories and pay back over 18-months without paying tax or NI on the monthly payments.

You can choose between bike only, accessories only or bike and accessories packages. You can spend up to 1/16th of your annual salary on the hire of the bike and appropriate safety equipment.

Better Impact

Volunteering Entitlement
You’ll receive 2 paid days to use for volunteering opportunities each year. We encourage all employees to make use of these days for the value it provides to individuals and the positive impact it has on the communities in which we operate.

Give As You Earn
Workplace giving helps you support good causes by donating directly from your pay. Whatever is close to your heart, for example it might be children, animals or maybe medical charities, there is a good cause out there looking for your support.
Regular donations are a vital source of income for charities as they provide a reliable and predictable source of unrestricted funds with which they can budget effectively and plan for the future, therefore any regular donation (regardless of size) is a truly great gift to give.
