Today, ESN(F) has a high-quality, high-performing portfolio which it continues to augment with acquisitions. We provide the strategic forestry expertise to support this expansion, oversee the delivery of management and deal with leases, shooting rights, mineral extraction, access and the marketing of timber as well as focused improvements for biodiversity and public access.

We are also deeply involved in promoting and negotiating wind farm developments across their property portfolio. Our client now has one of the best quality, financially stable, strategically integrated forestry and renewables portfolios in the country.

The whole asset is managed on a sustainable basis and is significantly cash positive. The second commercial-sized windfarm in Scotland, Windy Standard I, was developed on one of ESN(F)’s forestry properties almost 30 years ago. From that significant investment in renewable technology, they have continually grown their share in this sector alongside timber production.

The asset under our management extends to 8,800 hectares and continues to benefit from stable capital and revenue returns. Our successful working relationship has spanned more than four decades because we are entirely focussed on providing a high-level of service and meeting objectives.
