With over 27 years’ experience spanning planning, housebuilding, development consultancy and strategic land, Mark brings a rare breadth of expertise to residential development—guiding clients through the entire lifecycle of land promotion, acquisition and disposal.

His detailed understanding of the development process allows him to respond quickly to changing market conditions—delivering forward-thinking, commercially focused advice. 

He acts as a trusted strategic advisor to private landowners, developers, strategic land funds, private equity investors and educational institutions, offering clear guidance on delivery strategies and marketing approaches to maximise returns and achieve long-term objectives. Specialising in structuring complex land deals—from conditional contracts to options, promotion, and joint venture agreements—Mark has a particular interest in legacy development for clients wishing to retain an interest in their land. 

Mark is a passionate advocate for a more resilient and future-fit residential land market. With a sharp understanding of shifting market dynamics, he helps clients adapt and make confident, strategic decisions. He champions the role of smaller and regional housebuilders in addressing the UK’s housing crisis, believing their growth is essential to the long-term health of the sector. 

Mark is a member of the Hertfordshire Infrastructure and Development Board.
