Fernanda has led the development and management of thousands of hectares of peatland restoration from conception to delivery, while also managing multi-habitat enhancement strategies. She works with emerging standards and investors to secure funding for ecologically sensitive projects across Scotland.
Fernanda is driven to ensure that nature finance maintains high integrity for the natural world, communities, and delivers projects for the common good. She is driven to ensure robust evidence to support claims and that restoration initiatives deliver genuine benefit.
She contributes regularly to the IUCN Peatland Code and NatureScot Peatland ACTION, sharing her insight through forums, events, and case studies. In addition, she serves as a member of the advisory group for the developing Ecosystem Restoration Code.
With her deep technical knowledge of project delivery, broader land management and community consideration, and practical experience engaging with investors and buyers, Fernanda is well placed to facilitate responsible investment in natural capital.
