He specialises in developing long-term forest plans that balance timber production, future climate resilience, water protection, and landscape considerations. His interdisciplinary approach ensures that plans are well-evidenced, aligned with policy, and capable of supporting sustainable outcomes at both site and landscape scale.

Euan delivers land management plans and a range of planning services for Forestry and Land Scotland. He is also involved in forestry consultancy for windfarm developments and contributes to the direct management of forestry operations on properties in north Scotland. He is currently leading the production of four comprehensive land management plans for Forestry and Land Scotland. This project involves coordinating multidisciplinary inputs to develop long-term strategies that meet objectives for timber production, biodiversity, water management, and public engagement.

Alongside this, Euan provides responsive planning support, including forest plan amendments and felling permissions, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational continuity. His role demands both technical precision and strategic insight, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality plans efficiently and at pace.
